Board of Trustees - Andrea Walgren

Ms. Walgren recently retired after serving for twenty years with The School for Field Studies (SFS), a college level field school program academically accredited through Boston University. She held a number of positions at SFS including Director of Marketing, Director of Development, and Vice President for Student Affairs and Institutional Relations.

During that time, SFS expanded its field school offerings from a half dozen summer programs to 24 programs a year offered at six permanent field stations worldwide, and increased its enrolled students from 100 summer students to 300 summer students and 300 full semester students.

As a member of NAFSA; The Association of International Educators, she has presented in numerous workshops addressing Marketing Study Abroad and Increasing Participation of Science Students in Study Abroad. Before coming to SFS, Ms. Walgren served as an admissions officer and Admissions Director and Registrar at several New England colleges. She graduated with honors from Mount Holyoke College where she received a B.A degree in Sociology and Geography.
