About the Foundation - Mission

The mission of the sitesALIVE! Foundation is to support and enhance K-12 education, in public, charter, and private schools, by promoting the use of technology and real world, real-time, global content in K-12 classrooms.

When teachers are equipped with the technological knowlege and curricular tools that demonstrate the active application of subjects that may be dry in traditional textbooks, but that come alive when used in the real world by real people and with real consequence, their students become engaged and their learning becomes more relevant.

Effectively used technology can bridge geographic and economic gaps, the "digital divide", to offer equal educational opportunities for all students.
